Recipe of the Month: Debbie's Brumbleberry Pie

Spring is officially here in a big way, and if you were like us this weekend, you were craving something sweet and not-too-heavy to snack on! Try Debbie's recipe for brumbleberry pie this week, and make sure to let us know how it turns out for you!

Ingredients:

  • 4 c. Berries, Combination of blueberries, raspberries, and boysenberries - mix together
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 4 tbsp. Flour
  • 2 tbsp. Tapioca
  • 1/8 tsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 recipe for your favorite pie crust

Directions:

  1. Place mixed berries alternately with sugar, flour, cinnamon and tapioca mixture until pie is filled
  2. Top with crust
  3. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes
  4. Lower the oven's temperature to 350 degrees and bake an additional 20-30 minutes
  5. Cool and serve!
